Johnny Mach's Pulled Pork Finishing Sauce

Mach's Finishing Sauce

Mach's Finishing Sauce

2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 1/4 cups ketchup
1/2 cup natural apple juice
1/4 cup molasses based BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cayenne

Combine all ingredients in a 2qt saucepan, stir and bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer, cover & cook for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and let cool for about 15 minutes, then pour into a jar (plastic storage container, etc.) and refrigerate.

This makes 1 quart finishing sauce.

NOTE:
To make it easy to dispense, I used an empty plastic quart vinegar bottle and made 2 small holes in the cap with the heated prongs of a corn cob holder. When ready to use just take it out of the fridge, cover cap with a finger and " shake 'n squeeze"!
